Whether you've just decided to learn to sail or you're already a proficient sailor, there's a schedule of progressive courses to keep you learning.
These can be from our OSC Introduction certificate all the way up to RYA Yachtmaster theory and exam preparation. See the 'Training' page.
As an OSC member the club's 60 foot yacht is available for you to cruise the harbour for half-days, evenings and whole days. Or you can venture offshore with coastal trips over a weekend or longer. See the 'Sailing & Social' page.
Why not join one of our regular outings on the harbour? Make yourself at home on the yacht. Swim, cook dinner (or just watch others do it) or just relax with friends watching the sun set as the yacht lies at anchor. See the 'Social Events' page.
Every year the Club's yacht takes time off to visit locations a bit off the beaten track - see some wildlife, explore some more remote anchorages - under the supervision of an experienced skipper. See the 'Holidays' page.
In the interests of safety, the yacht will always be under the supervision of a club-approved skipper.
For the club's Social sailing events, the Skipper is supplied by the Club. If you would like to use the Club yacht for your own social events or for group mile-building cruises, we can put you in touch with our Sailing Coach, who will be happy to make sure that your event is run safely (sample costs)
Only registered members of the Ocean Sailing Club are allowed on board the yacht for any sailing event. For more information, just email or call us.
As a British-registered non-profit organisation, all transactions are deemed to take place in the UK and The Ocean Sailing Club charges membership and product prices in UK pounds, however the club will accept payment in the local currency of where their yacht is at the time. Currently the Club uses the rate of A$2.00=£1
